Juniper has expressed interest in helping us to research and then actually create the structures/incorporations that we choose. These are some questions she posted in an e-mail on 2/9:

A small group of interested folks could begin to review different business structures and make recommendations regarding the following questions:

• Do we need one business structure? (The answer to that seems obvious, but it is a decision.)
• Do we need more than one business structure? How would activities and funding be divided between more than one business structure? What is an optimum timing in their creation? Do we need more than one from the beginning, or at some point down the line?
• What are advantages and disadvantages of different structures for achieving our goals?
• What are the implications of creating business structures in one state versus another?
• Even within a single business structure there are many choices. How many board members? Will the structure have members? For profit or non-profit?
